Overview

Polyethylene terephthalate (also written as poly ethylene terephthalate), commonly abbreviated as PET, is the most common thermoplastic polymer resin of the polyester family and is used in fibers for clothing, containers for liquids and foods, thermoforming for manufacturing, and in combination with glass fiber for engineering resins. PET Bottles have become highly popular packaging for many kind of liquid products such as soft drinks, drinking water, cooking oils and mainly (Pharma Application) due to its strength, light weight, excellent dye-ability and satisfactory resistance to almost all organic solvents.

The clear, strong, lightweight plastic used for pharma bottles is known as polyethylene terephthalate (PET); it’s the same plastic used fro bottled water, soft drinks, and other consumable liquids. The plastic must be non-toxic, non-carcinogenic, biocompatible, and in no way detrimental in the biological environment. PET has been approved for food and beverage contact by the FDA, Health Canada, and the European Food Safety Authority. PET packaging is actually part of the drug development process when it’s tested for leaching and extractabilit.

Advantages of single-stage PET bottles

• Better top-load bearing capacity.

• With single stage machines PET bottle have dimensional

accuracy ensuring consistent fill.

• No possibilities of scratch marks since no separate handling of Performers.

• Single-stage bottles have a better shines as the manufacturing process is integrated.

• Neck diameters accuracy is fully maintained, eliminating problems of capping & leakage.

• Uniform Wall thickness and scratch free bottles.

• PET Bottles are Non-toxic and Eco-friendly. Dyesntermediates
